User:Thrownfootfalls/sandbox/Wikipedia:Spoken Articles (reorganisation)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Note for the bewildered: when I started recording articles, I suggested reorganising the entire Spoken articles page to be roughly in line with the Vital articles organisational structure instead of the Featured articles one. The reasons for this were, well, personal taste, and the fact that I wasn't really familiar with the second layout anyway. Other people working on the page quite understandably didn't want a newcomer barging in and reordering the whole thing for their own purposes. I've kept the work here, though, since it may come in handy in other ways later.

This page lists recordings of Wikipedia articles being read aloud, and the year each recording was made. Articles under each subject heading are listed alphabetically (by surname for people).

For help playing Ogg audio, see Help:Media. To request an article to be spoken, see Category:Spoken Wikipedia requests. For all other information, see the WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia page. Spoken articles marked with were featured articles at the time of recording. Similarly, spoken articles marked with were good articles at the time of recording.

There are 1,797 spoken articles in English.
