Biography[edit]
Baishnabacharya Srimat swami JOGANANDA Rasaraj was born in undivided India in1886 at a place popularly called “Sagardweep” P.S.: Nagarkanda; Dist: Faridpur of East Pakistan (now known as Bangladesh). He was natively known as YOGESH BISWAS. His father was a landowner (Zamindar), Iswar Chandra Biswas and mother was Soudamini Devi.He was brought up by his father’s cousin brother Yogendra Chandra Biswas and his wife Sashimukhi Devi who were childless. They gave His name “YOGESH”. He did schooling from an English medium Higher Secondary School. After Schooling he had to join in father’s real estate to look after soon on expiry on his father. Later, he entered into domestic life marrying eleven year old daughter of Ambika Charan Ghosh of Bramhandi Dist: Faridpur. Her nick name was jeevan (means life). Later she became Shree Shree Maa BRAJESWARI (means Goddess of Love, Goddess Radha). In the mythology Lord Krishna first enjoyed this Unnatural Yoga (Brindaban Leela with Goddess Radha) and then did His Royal duty i.e. Mathura Leela (the duty as a King). Here Shree Shree Baba Yogananda did the Royal duty as landowner (Zamindar) first along with maintaining domestic life. During his domestic life He used to pass most of His time in association with Saints and Aseties. In the event of His association He came in contact with the AryanProverb “Jeevanam Bindu-dharanat, Maranam Bindu-Patena” (restoring the Vigour-Living,destroying the Vigour-Death) Then He fell in high inquisitiveness of how to hold the same living in domestic life with wife He kept on searching of real path of restoring as well as future upstream radiative effect of vigour living amidst conjugal life. Out of His continuas searching He started touring in different places of pilgrim with the company of Saints and Ascetis. First He went to Brindaban and then Hardwar. In Hardwar He met many Saints. In the associates He came close to a Saint. But the word “BRINDABANWALA” uttered by that Saint made Him to come back to Brindaban. He spent many days and night lying on the ground without any food and sleep. At last a Divine message was uttered conveying “GO BACK HOME AND START SADHANA” Being delighted He remembered His former birth as well as the HOLY AMOROUS DALLIANCE TYPE UNNATURAL YOGA [Which He practiced as Lord Krishna with Goddess Radha in bliss] and returned home to practice this sadhana with His wife ( Shree Shree Maa Brajeswari Devi) at home. Though He kept unrevealed but like the roving bees in trailing the scent of fragrent flowers many followers assembled to adop this doctrine. He awarded or we can say first introduced this doctrine among few followers in duets. All the followers started assembling day by day. He used to desire of frequent union of followers which transformed his own residence a full holy Hermitage. Later under his auspices another hermitage was made at Barishal (Bangladesh). Another hermitage was founded at Burdwan (India). Throughout the later part of His earthly life He preached this Yoga amongst followers till His willful demise on 7th June 1960 at morning 9am. Consciously handing over His incomplete works to Shree Shree Maa BRAJESWARI. She came to India and founded a holy hermitage at Palpara, Chakdaha ; Dist: Nadia of West Bengal India.She left Her earthly life in September 1978. Two hermitages are actively existing one is the oldest at His previous residence at Faridpur, Bangladesh and other one at Palpara, in West Bengal, India. Not only Hindu many followers have come from other religion as He named this Organisation VISWA MANAB DHARMA SEBA SANGHA (The World Humane Religiosity Service Association). It’s an unique universal hermitage welcoming all castes, creeds, races and followers to join everlasting youthful Divine Love and Bliss among citizens of this Universe to make everything beautiful.

TEACHINGS OR SPEECHES OF SRI SRI BABA JOGANANDA RASARAJ
1.Domestic life and Sadhana are to be maintained simultaneausly
2.For Sadhana one has to follow Idealism.
3.Peaple want peace. The incessant joyful attachment is called love. This love is the greatest peace. Not even for a short while unhappiness gets place in the souls of lover.
4.Do the Karma. Karma it self will give you the best place."Do not think today after getting this TATTWA you are rescued , My Sons! The karma is at your hand"
5.Always do remain in "PRANAB"
6.Without the control of eleven instinct no one can keep the hold of Docorine up.
7.You are so happy on controlling one passage only. You are not aware of another eight passage! ( Spiritual Gateway )
8.One follower wanted to join with Him and then He commented , "Only three days you can spend with Me; Next day no one will take care of you; Go back to your house. Do independently all the duties of domestic life as well as Sadhana together. First you earn and then you learn. Before dressing like a Sadhu (Saint) , be a Sadhu by Soul".
9.Many of your births have been spoiled. Please dedicate a single birth ( Present Birth ) for Me.
10.You will not get the details of this Yoga in any book. Because this is the modern science based doctorine which can not be seen in "Veda" or "Vedanta".
11.You need not read the "Geeta" daily. The essence of The Geeta Is Given to you.
BY SRI SRI MAA BRAJESWARI
1.The lesson of Guru ( i.e., the directions given by Guru ) is the main support to pull on the path of Sadhana.
2.Do the Sadhana properly. you need not request God. God will come and surrender to you.
3.He very much exist in Humane being. Human being is the living God , they need not fear the external idols.But nobody should neglect anybody.
4.There is no age of Sadhana. You have to perform Sadhana till death.
5.Do your duty only. Leave the results in the hand of Guru. You just keep on rowing , lets the sky be clear or dark.
6.Don't deceive yourself throughout the life with the excuse of your duties in the domestic as well as social life.
7.One female dicipline asked, "MAA, nothing is happend to me!" SRI SRI MAA answered, "What will happend to you ? Will another four legs and hand come out? Gradually your state of mind will be changed and slowly the different level of your mind will opean one after another"
