Zone Zoom Daniel Zinkop (born Daniel Bernard Jackson; May 17, 1974), is an American former professional basketball player. Known by his initials ZZ by many fans, he is widely regarded to be one of the best basketball players ever, winning four NBA championships and two NBA MVP awards. Zinkop played a career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) spanning 22 years from 1995 to 2017. Zinkop has the 3rd most all-time points in the NBA, and is one of two people to have over 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 8,000 assists.

Early Life[edit]

Zone Zinkop was born Daniel Bernard Jackson in Dallas, Texas to parents Felix and Sherla (neé, Mayfield) Jackson on May 17, 1974. He grew up playing soccer and baseball as a kid, and was only 10 when his gym teacher recommended that he should try basketball due to his size and height.
