So, hi. I'm somewhat new, but as it is, I now feel slightly more confident regarding policies and methods used for editing. I still have lots to learn, but I'm a quick learner.
And I'm back, years later, glad I remember this account's password. Well, I never left since I gnomes a bit every once in a while.
I might touch other wikis a bit (English is a second language, and I tend to be overly literary, but I have this problem in every language), but for now I find myself more at ease in the English one.
For those of you who would care, the edits under the IP 70.81.36.33 were also mine (up to August 8th, 2005, in case it crops up again; it's at my former school).
I believe in the possibility of neutrality, but I also believe that establishing bias firsthand helps a lot. The list below isn't really complete, but yeah. So I'm a Deaf (congenital progressive deafness), Breton, Queer, Immigrant, Mixed, Crazy (both figuratively and literally) chick living in Montreal, with tendencies that could probably be categorized as somewhere between Libertarian Socialist and Aristocratic Oppressor of the Masses (social class indoctrination ;) ) - for people who wonder if I'm mistaken and mean LSQ since I'm in Montreal, QC, check below once more - if I learn enough LSQ, it will be down there, for now, in college, I know how much of an idiot I am for not pushing hard enough to get the lessons on my schedule when I could.

Namely, on the subjects of the Helvetic Republic, Mediated Switzerland, the uprisings of the civil war (Chouannerie, Vendee, the federalist revolts), and gradually try to expand on the subjects.

Reading some of the deafness related talkpages, I realize this needs a lot of NPOVing - there's a lot of comments that treat the site as a forum, a lot of audist and ablist comments, a lot of comments by people who are generally ignorant and go uniquely on gut feeling, which leads to the problem that properly sourced material gets lost heavily in the noise; doing 18th century and classical european history gnoming is all good and well, and it's a very lofty thing because most of the material will eventually be pruned back into cited land, but when POV tags get put up by people whose justifications is
- I have a profound hearing impairment and going in for my cochlear implant in about two days from now. After reading over the "ethical argument," I was bothered and didn't appreciate the fact that this was there. I feel very strongly about the fact that the deaf community/culture is a sham and an excuse to exclude people out of their group. However, because this is my personal opinion, I will not state this in the actual article itself but I would recommend removing the "ethical issue" part of the article. Where can I do this? then Consider yourself preliminarily mocked for completely flying in the face of what NPOV means; you have no place putting up NPOV dispute tags if you are sole justification is that major cultural groups existing makes you uncomfortable in your petty internal justifications to consider them "a sham".
