Ruth is attempting to rebuild her life and to start the search for her sister Katie after serving 15 years of a life sentence for murdering two police officers. The Ingrams, are encountering unexplained phenomena at their new home which was Ruth and her sister's former home. Meanwhile, the sons of one of Ruth's victims find out she had been released from prison and begin plotting revenge. A chance visit by Ruth to her old home has her meet the Ingrams, and John Ingram (a family lawyer) agrees to help Ruth find out about her sister.

Flora Spencer-Longhurst entered the National Music Youth Theatre at age eleven and had studied at Manchester University. She made her television debut in 2005 in the BBC television series Dalziel and Pascoe" which featured actor Warren Clarke. She had made her professional stage debut in 2007 at the Young Vic Theatre in a production of The Member of the Wedding playing the part of Frankie Addams. She had a stage role as Rosalie in the Lillian Helman play The Children's Hour at the The Royal Exchange Theatre. Her most recent stage role is that of Reza in the West End production of the musical Once [1].
Probably, her most known television role is that of Lisa/Tom in the CBBC series Leonardo which featured the adventures of a teenage Leonardo da Vinci and his friends. However, due to her stage and theatre work, Spencer-Longhurst has not had extensive exposure on film and television, [2] and her motion picture debut Walking with the Enemy is unreleased as of the summer of 2013. Her other television work has had her working alongside actors such as Kenneth Branagh, Peter Davison, and Ben Kingsley.
