Welcome to the official Slowtationjet user page. My main interests include aviation, athletics, and history with additional interest in the American education system, especially post-secondary education. Most of my energy is focused on copy editing and clarifying ambiguous passages. Occasionally I'll add additional information about new topics and even start new articles.

I have developed a special passion for updating and expanding articles about lesser-known topics in aviation. I spend a lot of time focusing on small general aviation airports (like Rio Linda Airport), but I'm also interested in niche aircraft and aircraft manufacturers. One of my main focuses has become creating articles about said smaller airports to create a more complete picture of the American general aviation landscape.

I've started using editing as a way to learn about topics I'm interested – aviation especially. Interacting with topics and stories through editing and research, in my mind, makes for a much better learning environment than just trying to remember things I read off the internet.

My Favorite Edits/Updates/Contributions To Date

• As of July 2022, my biggest edit was adding accident information to Whiteside County Airport's page
• July 2022 additions to Comac C919's page is one of my biggest edits to a major page to date. That same month, I was the first to start building out the section on accidents reports on Provo Municipal Airport's page.
• I'm proud to have started the Air Tractor AT-1002 page.
• I was the first to add annual movement statistics to the Central Illinois Regional Airport page.
• In early November 2022, my addition to Gogebic–Iron County Airport's page became my biggest at the time. Later that month, I began the history section on the Alpena County Regional Airport page and added additional information in other sections, ultimately increasing the page's size by 50%.
• I more than doubled Challenge Airlines page, adding historical information as well as expanding information about the company and expanding its fleet.
• It's not often that I add as much historical information to an airport's page as I did for Hillsdale Municipal Airport's page.
• In early 2023, I nearly tripled the West Michigan Regional Airport page, including starting the history section for the airport.
• In January 2023, I started the page for electronic flight bag ForeFlight.
• In March 2023, I made substantial additions to and added all the sources (at time of writing this) for the Skyway Estates Airport.
• In April 2023, I added significantly to the Meyers–Diver's Airport page, including information on a close call between a skydiving plane operating at the airport and a Spirit Airlines jet.
• In May 2023, I more than doubled the size of the Delaware Coastal Airport page, including adding significant information about about airport facilities and attractions. That same month, I also started a page covering the 2021 Trevor Jacob plane crash. I also also made significant updates to the pages for both major airports in Akron, Ohio – both Akron–Canton Airport and Akron Executive Airport – as well as to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, which constituted my largest addition to a major American airport.
• In June 2023, my edit of the Ohio State University Airport became my largest at nearly 20,000 bytes.
• In early 2024, I significantly expanded the pages for the two airports in Youngstown, Ohio: Lansdowne Airport, the original airport in the city, and Youngstown Elser Metro Airport.
• I enjoyed updating Michigan's Richmond Field
• In February 2024, I significantly expanded the Newark–Heath Airport page.
