Sina Oeur[1] is a Cambodian journalist, writer, and editor. He was born in Koh Thom Village, Prey Kry Commune, Choul Kiri District, Kampong Chhnang Province on April 17, 1992. He is the eldest of six siblings. His father, El Sam Ol, and mother, Tes Vanny, were engaged in fishing and farming.

Early life:[edit]

Sina Oeur[2] completed his high school diploma in 2011. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Khmer Literature from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Later, in 2021, he successfully completed his Master's Degree in Literature from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Personal Life:[edit]

Oeur Sina is married to Miss Chhum Rompha in 2016. They have a son and a daughter. All his family members are the keys to inspiring him to become a writer.

Reporter Career[edit]

From 2012 to 2013, Oeur Sina was a waitress in a restaurant. From January to July 2015, he worked as a volunteer in the field of journalism on CTV8HD until August 13, 2015. He then worked for Mengly J. Quach Education Company[3]. In 2015, he was promoted to a new role as a writer for Duke Dr. Quach Mengly. In 2017, he was promoted to another position as a senior writer 1. From 2018 to 2021, he worked as a senior writer 1 at the publishing house of Meng Ly J University Press.

In 2022, he started his career as a journalist at The Interco roster[4]. By the end of 2022, he was transferred to become a script writer for MJQTV[5]. He was then promoted to Senior Program producer and then to Senior Writer 2 at the publishing house of Mengly J. University Press[6].

Writer Career[edit]

In 2016, Mr. Sina joined the editing team at the publishing house of Mengly J. Quach University Press[7] where enable him the opportunity to learn to collect and compile some works of the author Mengly Jandy Quach, MD, MPH. In addition, Sina contributed some of his poems to a collection of “Dr. Quach Mengly’s poem and me”. He then submitted some of his short fictions to a short fiction project entitle “A collection of short stories, My role Model Neak Ouknha Dr. Mengly J. Quach.” Not only that, he wrote another poetry book of poems entitled “Father Heart” published in 2021. What’s more, one of his pieces “Indra’s Advisor” was also selected by the committee of Magic ink and published in 2021 for their 4th edition.
