Originally from Ireland (Dublin and Co. Wicklow) of English-Irish-Chinese parentage (Mother: Irish (1/4)/English(1/4)/Chinese(2/4), father Chinese (Ethnically Chinese, Irish raised - father came to Ireland from Shanghai in 1965 - illegally, sort of - aka a weird weird mix), I have lived in the People's Republic of China most (roughly 60%, mostly in my teenage and adult years) of my life (where I am currently located). My Chinese could be a lot better than it is, so I will stay away from editing anything Mandarin...
Make no mistake, I am CHINESE and not really Irish. - but I can from time to time subject myself to "Plastic Paddyism" -.-... Here's a joke: I walk into an Irish pub in China. End of joke. In fact I am totally unsure if any exist in the mainland PRC - maybe there are some in Hong Kong...
My great-great grandfather apparently had something to do with the Easter Rising...hmmm.
And no, I really don't like Shanghai very much at all, but I have the misfortune of having a father whose family originated from this urban jungle... Thankfully, my mothers Chinese family are all Sichuanese...
