Hi, I'm John (my pronouns are he/they in no preferred order)

About me[edit]

My background is in politics, social studies, theology, and religion. I have a Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish and in Romanian. I have a deep appreciation for wikipedia, and, having edited for awhile now, learning along the way, know how important it is that editors give their time to provide useful and accurate information. My editing philosophy is consensus building and bridging divides to provide the best work.

I have been asked about my interests and areas of focus. Given my background, I am very interested in US politics. I identify as liberal, on the US American spectrum, and am a registered Independent voter. Specifically, I contribute to pages related to centrist factions in US politics, often perceived as anomalous organizations or individuals in partisan politics. I have improved many with reliable sources, including peer reviewed material. I also contribute to pages related to Anglicanism, Lutheranism, and mainline Protestantism.

I am Latino and am a member of the LGBTQ community. As such, respect and a safe environment are both important to me. I aspire to model that in my interactions and expect others to as well.
