British Midland Commuter was a British regional airline based at East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington, Derby. British Midland Commuter was a subsidiary of British Midland International and flybmi. It was also owned by the International Airlines Group (IAG).

Flybmi was founded on the 14th of May 1987 under the name Business Air Limited, or simply Business Air. Business Air originally offered passenger charter flights before starting scheduled services in 1987, expanding its route network.

On the 29th of March 1998, Business Air Limited renamed to British Midland Commuter.

On the 1st of February 2001, British Midland Commuter was merged with bmi Regional

Fleet[edit]

British Midland Commuter's fleet consisted of Saab 340's and British Aerospace 146's. As British Midland Commuter renamed to bmi Regional, the airline had no plans on any future fleet development. British Midland Commuter had a total number of 15 aircraft.
