I live in the province of Modena (Italy). After the secondary school Liceo-Ginnasio San Carlo di Modena, I attended the Metropolitan Seminary of Modena and the Studium Theologicum Interdiocesanum of Reggio Emilia. Then the course of Archivistics, Palaeography and Diplomatics at the Archive of State in Modena and Medieval History at the University of Bologna. I'm priest of the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola since 1989. Since 1999 I'm canon penitentiary and archivist at the Abbey of St. Sylvester in Nonantola. Since that year I take care of the Archive and of the Library of the Abbey, collaborating to exibitions, conferences, publications, presentations. Since 1999 to 2010 I directed the Museo Benedettino Nonantolano e Diocesano di Arte Sacra, too. Since 2007 to 2017 I was even rector of the parish of Colombaro, near Formigine. Since 1991 I write about ecclesiastical history and archives of the area of Modena. Since 2012 I'm member of the Accademia Nazionale di Scienze Lettere e Arti di Modena (Section of History, Letters and Arts) and of the Deputazione di Storia Patria per le Antiche Provincie Modenesi.
