WikiProject Slipknot[edit]

I see that you are amember of WikiProject Slipknot and I was wondering, how does one become a member of this project? I am interested. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Epeu (talkcontribs) 23:21, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Crowz[edit]

Can someone explain what "Crowz" is? Is it a rumored 5th studio album or what? —Terrence and Phillip 16:53, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Slipknot album[edit]

After succesfully claiming its first good topic, the slipknot wikiproject seems to have dropped in activity for the most part. Whether you've noticed or not, I've nominated Joey Jordison for GAN currently awaiting for an editor to review it. Asides from that, I also want to nominate Slipknot album for FAC, however two main things hesistate me from nominating it right away. There are several prose issues which I can predict that will cause reviewers to oppose its nomination, as well as an upcoming event. The band is planning to release a 10th anniversary special on 09/09/09 for its first album. Because it is speculated that it may contain useful information to the article, it could be very helpful in expanding the article. My thinking is to still keep the slipknot demo article merged into a single section so it can add up for info to the album. I figure there is no needed to form a seperate article since you already have a good topic. —Terrence and Phillip 16:00, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Babylon (Skindred album)[edit]

Hi. I did the best I could do to satisfy your concerns. But the three reviews that were there were really all that I could find. Also, Eagle Eye is a college newspaper. Should it still be cited? (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 19:54, 23 July 2009 (UTC))

Wow, it's been a while since I've actually written something here... feels good! See what you think about that, we could probably make it a little longer. I started this as something to work towards. We can start going through the members at some point. blackngold29 21:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

RE:Warning[edit]

I really couldn't care less about Wikipedia's policys. This whole website is full of social retards at any rate, so, I doubt I'll be sticking around. Given Corey Taylor's contempt for Wikipedia I'm suprised that anyone who admires him or his music would edit here. See ya, loser. Jake Corey (talk) 13:36, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Stone Sour's third studio album‎[edit]

The article Stone Sour's third studio album‎ has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - DustFormsWords (talk) 04:39, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Stone_Sour's_third_studio_album[edit]

I have nominated Stone Sour's third studio album for deletion following your removal of the PROD. Your reasons for removing the PROD are well explained but I still have concerns so have taken the matter of AfD. Please contribute to the discussion. - DustFormsWords (talk) 22:10, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

GAN of To My Surprise (album)[edit]

Hi there, I'm just dropping a note that I've finished to review of To My Surprise (album), which you can see here. I've placed the article on hold for seven days see you can address the issues I've brought up. After they are resolved, I'll gladly pass the article. Thanks, Mm40 (talk) 14:49, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Seeking adoption[edit]

Hi Retzer. I'm looking for someone to help me shape up the articles I've created for Valencia Tool & Die and StreetArt: The Punk Poster in San Francisco 1977-1981. I was intimately involved in the art and punk rock scenes in San Francisco during the late 70s and I published three books about it by 1984. I have a lot more knowledge to impart, but I ran into a brick wall when I first tried posting about a year ago, and I've been a bit gun shy since. Apparently the problem is that I am writing about something that I took part in, which is confusing to me. The two articles I posted are still up, but they are not presently conforming to Wikipedia's standards. I'd like to shape them up, and then begin adding other links as time permits. I also have a library of photos and other documentation I'd like to share.

If you're interested, please take a look at the two articles I've already posted. If you're not interested, if you could refer me to someone with an interest in this type of information I'd appreciate it.

Best wishes, Peter Belsito (belsipe)Belsipe (talk) 22:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Belsipe (talkcontribs) 22:16, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

September 2010[edit]

The edits made to the Slipknot article was indeed really good and valid. However, I ask that the first picture of Slipknot performing in Toronto to be changed because it's a Vol. 3 World Tour photo with the old masks. Can we please have the Mayhem Festival photo again? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevon100 (talkcontribs) 00:36, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Joey Jordison with Metallica.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Joey Jordison with Metallica.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 18:16, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

September 2010[edit]

I added Will Haven because it has been confirmed that Chris Fehn is now a permanent member of the band assuming bass duties for upcoming tours and albums. Refer to here or here to clear any doubts.

Also, I added Rob Zombie because he has confirmed that Joey Jordison will be touring with him, at this point it's in the works that Jordison may become a permanent drummer. At this time, he plays a big part of Zombie's world. They have done photo shoots etc. with him. Refer to this link for more info.

You may remove Hail! if you wish. Thank you. Kevon100 (talk) 18:54, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

The template is a region where you can see what the members of Slipknot at involved in terms of bands here. Both Fehn and Jordison are part of Will Haven and Rob Zombie respectively, i.e. they are involved heavily enough. If they were merely "touring" members I would understand. Kevon100 (talk) 19:34, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough, man! Good looking out. stay (sic)! Kevon100 (talk) 20:31, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
I thought you were going to remove the bands from the template and not from the infobox. Do understand Will Haven and Rob Zombie now include Slipknot's members at full-time until being fired or if they quit. I'm requesting that Sid, Rob Zombie and Will Haven to be added in the article's infobox as associated acts. Kevon100 (talk) 23:02, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay. It seems fair to all involved. Kevon100 (talk) 00:20, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
