Dr Masasuke Park founded the Democratic Party in 2036 as a merger of the UK Independence Party and the Green Party of England and Wales
Foundation[edit]
Dr Park was a Korean-born Asian Canadian politician, who was a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom for 3 years. After he left Canada after he got his Canadian citizenship. However, since he was an independent MP, he founded a political party, which various minor parties have joined. His party was founded with 2 MPs and 3 barons, but now they have increased their seats in the general election and joined the coalition government with the Conservative Party and gained 12 seats (life peer) in the House of Lords.
Coalition[edit]
During the coalition, since Dr Park was not a British citizen yet, the deputy leader, Harold Johnson became the First Secretary of State and other senior members became the cabinet ministers in the Ross-Johnson coalition. During the coalition, the party's support went down in Northern Ireland, so in the Northern Ireland Assembly election, the Democratic Party has lost all of its seats in the assembly.
