[1] American actor Jesse Vint got his start in "regional" films lensed in the Southwest for the drive-in crowd. Jesse has played mainstream roles in Academy Award winner Roman Polanski's CHINATOWN (1974), the award winning cult classic SILENT RUNNING, Academy Award winner Arthur Penn’s “LITTLE BIG MAN”, the award winning spectacle “EARTHQUAKE”, the 1980 TV movie BELL STARR (as outlaw Bob Dalton), and the 1983 TV movie DEMPSEY (as Bernie Dempsey). Occasionally wandering to the other side of the cameras, Vint has functioned as writer, producer and director.

In his book “KILL BILL: The Diary” (a day by day account of the shooting of Quentin Tarrantino’s film playing the character "KILL BILL") he characterized Vint (p 248) as “…an acting buddy of mine, and a very wise and cool dude…”

[2] Actor Jesse Vint plays chess. In 1987, he won First Runner-Up in the World Celebrity Chess Championship held in Mazatlan, Mexico. In 1988, he won the World Celebrity Chess Championship at the Century Plaza in Los Angeles. He is still the reigning champion.
