Hello! I'm a person on the internet. My interests include History, Politics, Religion, Computers, Language, and Music.

I'm a computer science student (working on my MSc), so if there's any area where I could be considered anything close to an expert, that would be it.

I call myself a pseudo-professional musician (meaning I've played for paying audiences, and have gotten paid not in money but in food). I'm not religious myself, but I'm very interested in religion as a cultural concept. I'll probably declare my political views here at some point but not right now.

Some people think I'm funny but others don't agree. I think I'm pretty funny.

What I'm doing here[edit]

I've been using Wikipedia for as long as I can remember and have made several small edits here and there before creating this account. I'm mostly doing small grammar or syntax fixes.

I'm especially interested in ITN and have even contributed a bit as an IP. I have opinions on RD; we'll see if I have the energy to get into that whole thing.

I imagine I might also do some translation work but we'll see. I don't have a lot of time so this is not going to be anything serious.

My username[edit]

It's meant to sound like a dinosaur, except it's completely made up. It's (fake) greek and latin for "western ridge" which is not actually the etymology of my hometown but feels like it could be. I don't necessarily mind if people figure out where that is or I wouldn't give so many clues. I don't live there anymore so it doesn't really matter.

Languages[edit]

I enjoy learning languages and have been actively studying both German and French. Hopefully I can confidently bump up my Babel level for those at some point but we'll see about that. Other languages on the agenda include Finnish and Arabic, which I find very fascinating and which are quite different from the languages I know. Learning a language is of course quite a commitment so we'll see what happens with that.

Userboxes and other stupid stuff[edit]

I'll add a few when I feel like it, because what's life without a little bit of silliness?
