Vasa Isailović[edit]
Vasa J. Isailović (Irig, 1878 - Beograd, 1956) was the high sheriff of Srem county, Vojvodina, and the mayor of Pančevo. He was born 29 January in 1878, in Irig. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Zagreb University in 1904. He served as high sheriff of the county of Srem from 1921 to 1922. He served as mayor of Pančevo from 1926 to 1940. Isailović was a member of the Radical party. He was awarded the orders of St. Sava 3rd class, the White Eagle 3rd class, and the Crown of Yugoslavia 3rd class. [1]
Matica Srpska has recognized Vasa Isailović for his work as an editor and publisher. [2] [3] Among his written works is the article, "The Blind Bards' Academy of Irig". [4]

Vasa Isailović married Katarina Stojšić (1882-1975), and had the following issue: Gordana Isailović (1906-2006), and Milivoje Isailović (1911-1992), editor and publisher [5] [6]:
• Gordana Isailović married Teodosije Ristić (1895-1986), vice president of the Prometna bank and secretary of the Serbian Cultural Club[7]; and had the following issue: Miodrag Ristić (b.1938), psychiatrist, and Slobodan Ristić (1943-2008), dental surgeon
• Miodrag Ristić married Yvonne Cunliffe (1940-2007), and had the following issue: Katharine Ristich (b.1968), medical editor, and Elizabeth Ristich (b.1970), educator
• Elizabeth Ristich married Mark Douglass (b.1972), chartered accountant, and had the following issue: Zachary Nicholas Douglass (b. 2010).
