I haven't much to say about myself. I've been editing Wikipedia and Wikibooks here and there for years -- not a lot, but when I see the occasional omission or error.

I've been trying to get Wikibooks to reverse the policy of chopping up books into smaller and smaller documents because it disadvantages those of us with expensive, slow, intermittent internet access (that is, most of the people in the world). Also, making wikibooks downloadable as PDF instead of HTML strikes me as crazy. PDF is almost completely unusable electronically, as its only real use is printing onto paper. It would be far more sensible to print directly from an HTML ebook if you want paper, instead of converting HTML to bloated PDF and printing that.

My website is at http://miriam-english.org and has stories, artwork and other stuff I create. You'll notice a number of my ebooks there -- HTML and epub formats, but no PDF. Dead tree formats are wasteful.
