Just A Little About ME[edit]

Michael Perry is a Canadian Pop/R&B recording artist and songwriter of Antiguan descent. Growing up on Antigua, Perry performed in numerous choirs and groups for numerous congregations across the island. At 11, he took the leap from choir boy to solo artist, resulting in the release of his first album in 2005. This Gospel album received significant airplay on local Crusader Radio. Since then, he’s switched from Christian to Pop & R&B music, striving to consistently improve his craft. Recurrent themes in his music include the struggle to love oneself in a world that often devalues what makes us individuals and the challenges of sexual and romantic relationships. He loves spreading what he calls the Queer Gospel – the good news that being different is a blessing. Past performances include the USA-Japan Goodwill Concert at Carnegie Hall (as part of the No Borders Youth Music Consort) and Fierté Montréal’s TD Bank Stage. He’s also performed on Montréal’s CKUT. In 2017, he released his first Pop music album, “Underwear Model,” landed an interview on Montréal’s CJAD, a feature on the Homoground Podcast, and radio airplay in San Diego, Altea (Spain). 2018 saw the release of his sophomore effort, “Unlocked.” In 2019, Perry became a certified audio technician. He also teaches English Literature at Montréal’s Cégep Vanier College.

Michael Perry was born on 9 April in Montreal in Quebec, Canada. He is a former member of the Antigua & Barbuda based singing group, The Anointed Singers. He Attended the Foundation Mixed Primary School (elementary level). He then went one to the nation's most respected and notable High school, the Antigua Grammar School. His Vocal Range is From E3 to F6, Not Including Falsetto. He naturally has a span of over 3 octaves. Including the other alternative voices, he posses a Five-octave vocal range, ranging from E3 to F8.

Thinking of venturing out onto a solo career he then, after the Anointed Singers ended, recorded an self-proclaimed album tittled 'I Need Jesus'. This album contained featured vocalists D. and J. Elmes. Both Elmes were members of the same group 'Mikey', as Perry was affectionately called, founded. The album's copies were not put on shelves for sale but generated much needed publicity when its tracks were aired on the Antigua & Barbuda radio station Crusader Radio by the group's manager.

In early 2007, he was offered a recording contract but, his mother disagreed and is expected to sign immediately when he turns 16 and is out of high school.

He Is the friend of many people.
