Welcome

Hi! My name is Liam, and I'm a volunteer editor.

The focus of my work on Wikipedia is the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. My aim is to do my part to help wade through the information overload, observe history in action, and capture the intricacies of the response to the crisis. It is very important to me that everything related to COVID-19 is well-documented on this platform in an unbiased fashion using high-quality sources that are both reliable and verifiable, free of political or commercial bias and without arbitrary omission.

It is my belief that many people have a false understanding of what Wikipedia is, and is not. I have many friends and colleagues who are skeptics on various issues that believe this platform is only accessible to those on one side of a given issue, where any "inconvenient" edits are reversed. This is simply not true, at least as far as my experience is concerned. As such, my work here also seeks to bridge the gap between those feel they're the subject of censorship and those who feel they're under attack from disinformation operations. We're more alike than you may currently think.
