Why was it deleted? All sources were there, and I proved significance. Can you please help me out, what could possibly be the problem with this article? Is there some code I am missing in it? (Johnnyk1225 (talk) 16:41, 11 March 2010 (UTC))

Why was our new entry deleted, the material was written specifically for wiki and does not exist elsewhere on the internet. Am i missing the point of establishing an entry for a chef which wiki pedia is populated with?

iPlotz deletion[edit]

How can this be added back in - does someone else not connected to the company have to recreate it?.. The information also had published articles, one of which was a major review site, so that handles notability. This page followed exactly the format of other sites, so either they should be deleted or this should be added back. Please advise Markvtc (talk) 23:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Vertica deletion[edit]

Hi Lectonar, Can you please consider undeleting the Vertica page, or send me the code for the deleted page and explain what changes you suggest be made to avoid re-deletion? I don't understand why it was flagged as blatant advertising...the page existed for 2 years, had many community edits, many published external articles, and many pages about similar/competitive products still exist:

Concerning Cherokee[edit]

Ok. Just wanted to note that I reverted the page back to its original form, asking him several times to take it to the talk page. He is removing content without just cause or discussion on the talk page, So i believe that it needs to be reverted. If you believe that I should just leave his changes, I will be more than happy to. Thanks, Ono (talk) 14:13, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. This isnt the first run in I have had with people removing content from the Cherokee page because they didnt believe it should be there lol. Certpoint Systems[edit]

Notability of CERTPOINT Systems[edit]

A tag has been placed on CERTPOINT Systems requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

How can I avoid getting this message? There are other companies like this on Wikipedia. Do I need to provide links?

Unfortunately I do not agree. One example of "notability" is the entry in the LA House Of Representatives journal regarding the use of criminalwatchdog for new state nurses.

This is indeed a notable Corporation and believe it does indeed warrant an entry. Cranedr (talk) 14:06, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

BakerPlatt[edit]

Hi Lectonar. I'm struggling to know why you've deleted BakerPlatt. It's my first attempt at creating a page on Wikipedia - and I was disappointed to see that it has been removed, despite being comparable to other offshore law firm stub entries. Can you allow me to access the text again and give me some pointers as to how I can prove that it's a genuinely noteworthy submission?

Thanks,

Jason. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonmackenzie (talkcontribs) 09:14, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi. What is Jersey Business Review? Are you referring to the Jersey Evening Post annual Business Review? I'm feeling under undue scrutiny and persecution! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonmackenzie (talkcontribs) 12:16, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I am categorically NOT working for Jersey Business Review. I have historically contributed to that publication. I am interested in publishing noteworthy items on Wikipedia (never having done so in the past) and chose a firm that is presently working on two high profile, landmark cases in the jurisdiction in which I live as my first foray. I feel that you are being unjustifiably censorious. All I wish to do is be guided as to how to publish articles that are notable, impartial and significant. Semi protection of User talk:Cf38[edit]

User talk pages aren't protected upon request unless there is persistent vandalism, since they are a crucial point of contact for various users, including anonymous contributors. The only vandalism I see was from one particular IP, so such a thing certainly doesn't and didn't warrant protection. Would you please elaborate on your rationale for protection? Hi there LECTONAR, VASCO from Portugal here,

regarding this report (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#Anon_vandal), which led to you protect all four articles, i have bad news: The anon has registered, under the account Georgios21 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Georgios21, i am not 100% sure it his him, but 99,99999999%, as this person continues to operate almost solely on AEK Athens FC soccer players).

Bearing in mind the four articles which i presented as evidence, at least in this, Arnaldo Edi Lopes da Silva, he proceeded to enter again, remove true info in infobox, also messing with his height and age, which can be confirmed at ZEROZERO.PT link provided (by me) - see this (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arnaldo_Edi_Lopes_da_Silva&action=history). Now i wanted to add more content but the pages was deleted.

FPGA's are very special electronic devices and there are only 7 companies world wide producing them, 2 of the 7 are completly missing from wikipedia, one of them is Silicon Blue the other is Acronix

as note I am not involved with Silicon Blue except that i am using their products and have deep technical knowledge about FPGAs in general

if there are 7 companies world wide producing FPGA's does it mean only the first 5 can be included in Wikipedia? This sounds like unfair policy to me, but maybe the community thinks that only 5 are eliglible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trioflex (talkcontribs) 11:04, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of page: Erin Ketterman[edit]

In this recently deleted page, the reason for deletion was because it was an "Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject."

What I don't understand is the logic behind this. Is George Bush not a real person? Is Zinedine Zidane not a real person?

The other point of logic I don't understand is the part about indicating "the importance...of the subject." In my article, the importance was very lucidly stated as her being a top contributor to a high school in Phoenix, Arizona.

How, then, are either of these reasons for deletion justified? Thank you.

Re. Kayako article by User:hatter87[edit]

I am not sure why my article was deleted (having checked the content guidelines to which you referred me). I created a "Kayako" article (who make help desk software I use, as well as my University) having seen Comparison_of_issue_tracking_systems, and missing links (red nodes) to Kayako on a few other Wikipedia articles. I also note that Kayako has been featured in the popular presses many times (i.e. it is not a fly-by-night company), including for reasons including helping push forward the open source software initiative. I believe that the article I created contained useful content, especially when compared to other similar articles: TechExcel_Software, Zendesk, Eventum, CreationFlow, C.Support, Atadesk - some of these are one-liners at best! I suspect I have been flagged up here because I am a new registration. This is understandable, especially with the suspicions this rouses. However, I believe it is in the interests of the community to pass fair judgement on the content of the article based entirely on its own merits - not on my registration date. Hatter87 (talk) 16:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

I have just seen the deletion log - it appears I am not the only one who have tried to create a Kayako article in the past. Hatter87 (talk) 16:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

deletion of "Filippo Tron" page[edit]

I provided source references for this historical figure, who I noticed on his father's page had no article. The source I used has been dubbed "The Standard Venetian History in English" by The Times. Hereditary lines of doges were a constant source of tension within the republic of Venice, and any proposed continued line - especially if favored by the citizens of Venice - is certainly noteworthy. Furthermore, his unique cause of death definitely deserves mention. Since clearly there are not many Venetian scholars maintaining the finer points of the republic's history on Wikipedia, this may be the only mention of this historical figure for quite some time. As for the relevance of Filippo Tron himself, if we are to include losing US presidential candidates on Wikipedia, why then not include losing candidates for the doseship? Are we so culturally and historically exclusive? I fear a policy such as this will lead to the deletion of John Kerry in 100 years, for example. The page conserned the Norwegian architects Jarmund / Vigsnæs I wondered if you could explain the reason for deleting this site, as i did not include anything that falls under copyright law; no images, no quotes etc. If I understood the guidelines correctly only the bits of text/bits of the contribution that does fall under somebody elses' copyright is what is in danger of being removed, but in this case the whole article got removed. It would be great if someone out there could explain the reason for the deletion. Thankyou Sknj (talk) 08:05, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Added G12 notice involving blocked URL[edit]

Hi. Sorry for approaching you directly, but I noticed that you recently deleted an article I had nominated for copyright violation. I've tried to nominate another article, John Edward McCarville, M.D., because it's a copy of "www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/american-doctor/5269093", but the notice doesn't appear in the article, though the author gets the warning. When I try to add db-copyvio manually, it's refused because the URL is on some kind of blacklist—at least that's my interpretation. What to do? Favonian (talk) 08:02, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

The article has now been deleted, but I'm still curious: is there a way to perform such nominations when the URL is in bad standing? Favonian (talk) 08:24, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Marina Catena[edit]

Hi Lectonar. Me again, though this time from the opposite direction in a manner of speaking. You just deleted the article on Marina Catena. There's probably lots wrong with it, but according to Google she's quite notable. See for instance this piece on EuroNews. Apparently some sort of not just local heroine; head of UN's World Food Programme among other things. I suggest that the article be resurrected and some Wikipedian with a better command of Italian than me be found to bring it into shape. Cheers, Favonian (talk) 14:07, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi again. The exact same article has been resubmitted after precisely one week. I propose sending it to AfD, because a) consensus is always good, when you can find it, and b) if the article gets deleted and later makes yet another reappearance, it can be speedied under G4. the deletion of the "Young Heretics" page[edit]

this is getting ridicules, this page has been created 3 times by 3 different uses, the band fans are constantly requesting a wiki for the band so they can attain more knowledge. not to mention the fact that this user sourced MANY other articles in wiki from bands doing exactly the same thing, with the same or less "notoriety" and their wikis remain undeleted. whats the story, wiki never explains the issue properly anyway...thanks (magg86 (talk) 20 September 2009 (UTC))

the deletion of "Green Park Ltd"[edit]

I actually work for Green Park, so it's not copyright infringement as such, seeing as we own the copyright to the text. I was in the middle of editing the page so that the spider used by wikipedia would not see this as a copyright infringement when you deleted it. So whilst i recreate this page could you please leave it alone, and send me a message at the end of the day if you are unhappy with the content instead of jumping to conclusions before i'm even finished. • Yes the article is AfD in de:wp, but with low chances of being delete, as the sources are governmental and neutral.
  • The article wasn't an how-to at all. It only stated what the IED is comonly consist of, without going in to detail. Compared to Molotov cocktail it wasn't an how-to at all.
  • There was no POV involved at all. The sources where a legit (rather conservative) Newspaper (Hamburger Abendblatt), a radio station and the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (something like the CIA for internal affairs).
  • the term is widespread in Germany (not as wide as Moltov Cocktail, but wide enough)

Please restore my article. I don't see any reason for deletion. Greetings --Druthers (talk) 15:02, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

The Deletion of GlobalAir.com[edit]

I'm still new here so please bear with me for I'm still learning. You recently deleted my first article on wikipedia called GlobalAir.com for this reason A7. I created this aviation page because I noticed wikipedia has several other aviation websites that are extremely similar to GlobalAir.com, a perfect example being AirNav. I have no problems with the GlobalAir.com wikipedia page being deleted if it is in fact against the rules of wikipedia, however what makes an equivilant website like AirNav ok? Both provide valuable information about airports and FBO's on those airports, and both receive their information directly from the FAA. I looked deeper for an explanation into this myself and found things become even more confusing here. Can you please help me understand what makes an aviation resource ok to add and what makes it against the rules before I attempt to edit or add anymore pages in the aviation sections? Thanks! Jennifer Cody[edit]

Would like to revist the adding of and article about Jennifer Cody actress, singer, dancer, producer, choreographer. I do think she is currently a noteable person in the Broadway community and Theatre and for the last 10 years. Although I am new to wikipedia, and new to editing, I would like to edit pages on Broadway productions as well as Broadway actors, singers, composers, choreographers etc., as I am quite knowledgeble. Thank you for your help and input. MisterBroadway (talk) 01:01, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

iain davidson[edit]

Hi there, I was about to create an article for Raith Rovers defender Iain Davidson, when I noticed you had deleted one previously.

He has now played in the Scottish First Division, making him eligible for an article on Wikipedia.

Could you put it back so I can edit it to proper standards?

Thanks. Salty1984 (talk) 19:32, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Hyperic[edit]

I've re-created Hyperic following your good-faith deletion, minus the promotional language. Please tag or prod it rather than speedy it, if you think it's still advertising. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 16:28, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Alan Pearsal[edit]

The above article was deleted by a German Admin. Coming from Germany, I don't think he understands how famous Alan Pearsal is in Melbourne.

I have been working on updating the 3aw Personalities catagory and there was a need to have an article about Alan. The midnight to dawn radio slot is a community institution with the 'overnighters' club being well known and in the press in Melbourne. There is an article about Keith Macgowan and Phillip Brady and Bruce Mansfeild. All these people are part of the overnighters club and Alan Pearsal is of exactly the same stature. There is a sill situation where Simon Owens is Alan's assistant and replacement on his holidays but even he has an article.

Although not intentional, I find it hard for a German admin to unilaterally delete an Australian entry. He doesn't undertand how much of a cultural institution and how famous Alan is.

Please reinstate this article. It is actually very annoying to fill in missing information to have admin acting unilaterally who don't even understand the cultural aspects. He even deleted it before Australian admin were awake to review this Australian article. 120.17.163.101 (talk) 22:55, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Discussion on Deletion of TakeABreak[edit]

Dear Lectonar,

How are you doing?

I am keen to know about the criteria that you applied when proposing my article - TakeABreak - for deletion.

Actually, I am a new Wikipedia contributor and not very well-versed with the guidelines. I'll be grateful if you could provide me an insight into how I can better the article to save it from deletion.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks and Regards

Restoration of deleted page[edit]

Dear Lectonar,

Let me please ask you some questions about the deletion of the pages User:Redpolly/Etersoft and Etersoft

1) The page User:Redpolly/Etersoft was created as a draft. The name of the page "User:Redpolly/..." is an analog to the "Special:MyPage/..." in Russian Wikipedia. So the page was in development, but I haven't saved the copy. So I'd like to ask if the text of this article can be restored.

2) What does it mean "No indication that the article may meet guidelines for inclusion" as a reason of deletion"?

I'd be thankful for your answer.

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Lectonar! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 951 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Gero Bisanz - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Simon Corcoran[edit]

Hi, I can see you just deleted this page without discussion. I believe the article passes WP:PROF due to an international award for his work and a highly cited publication that impacted his field. If you wish to delete, please raise an AfD discussion in the usual way. Ash (talk) 15:34, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay, weird. I was adding a ref to the article and your previous deletion (presumably of a much earlier page of the same name) popped up saying the page had just been deleted by an Admin. The warning appears to be totally erroneous (though destroying my edit in the process). Ash (talk) 15:40, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Cycling.tv[edit]

I would like to inform you that I added a PROD to the cycling.tv article, an article for which you once removed the speedy deletion in March 2009. The argument with which you correctly removed the speedy has since been removed from the article and was not backed by any reference, so I feel the situation has changed, and this deletion will not be disputable. If I am wrong, just let me know.--EdgeNavidad (talk) 10:07, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Recent speedy deletion of Desura[edit]

Hello there! I'm a newby here, and I'd like to know more about the politics of speedy deletion and speficically how did it go for the page I created. I knew that it could sound like advertising, that's the reason I edited the talk page of Desura as soon as I created the entry, explaining my reasons. I also put the hangon tag and I tought that there would be at least a discussion before the deletion. Could you please helping me understanding? And could you please send me the entry itself so I can store it for my personal purpose? Thanks Saharo (talk) 10:42, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Recent deletion InZero Systems[edit]

Hi,

We are new to this so please have patience. Our article about InZero Systems was recently deleted for A7 and G11.

In terms of significance, we have had an article published about our company in Business Week and other news outlets. We had a press conference held in National Press Club. We had a joint venture announced with By-Light (company listed on WiKi). We are providing a new type of approach to IT security which is hardware-based (a different type of PC).

In terms of advertising, we just stated what our technology does, without comparing it to anything else. Is that allowed?

Also, we see many organizations that have very similar content

Question[edit]

Hello

I would like to ask your opinion about the format that should be used for the localities from Romania with an important Hungarian population

From the Romanian Constitution: http://www.cdep.ro/pls/dic/site.page?den=act2_2&par1=1#t1c0s0a13 "In Romania, the official language is Romanian". Also, According to Local Public Administration Bill (promulgated in 2001): "Where over 20 of the population is of an ethnic minority, all documents of a legal character will be published in the ethnic minorities' mother tongue.".

My opinion is that according to wiki rules Hungarian names should be listed before for example German names, but still in parantheses, in Italics: Romanian_Name (Hungarian: Hungarian_Name, German: German_Name)

We just want to respect the standard naming policy WP:PLACE, Foreign language names and first sentence usage rule

User:Rokarudi, instead of focusing on the discussion, falsely accuses the editors who don't support his POV that are sockpuppets of User:Bonaparte

Can you please express your opinion here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#Hungarian_names_of_Romanian_places

Thanks in advance for your answer and sorry if it wasn't a good idea to post this message here (Umumu (talk) 16:37, 24 March 2010 (UTC))

Deletion of 77Diamonds_Ltd[edit]

Hello,

The Wikipedia page for 77Diamonds Ltd keeps getting deleted. First for "unambiguous advertising", and now for "No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content)". I have put only factual information on the Wikipedia page so I don't understand why it was deleted in the first place. 77Diamonds Ltd. is a leading UK retailer on the jewellery space and are devloping a large fan base on Facebook, as well as a large consumer base on the internet. Could you please advise me on what I should do in order to keep the page from being deleted? Thank you! User:SeiAlkali (talk) 11:17, 06 April 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of A Band's Wiki: 6 April 2010[edit]

Hi, I'm writing to ask about a page that was deleted by you for the band Cryptic Gallbladder Splatter. They are a band out of Southern California, are still active, have had EPs, now have an LP, and will possibly be touring this summer. Everything that was on the page was fact, and it was also pretty sweet for the fans and whatnot to check out the wiki page to learn the history of the band as they've now been playing for well over 5 years and have a rich history. If you could email me with what was wrong with the page and why it got deleted that would be great. If you could also tell me what I can do to get the page up back up and running that would be nice too. If there's no chance that the page can be back up and running, could you please send me the original information associated with the page? I really hope this is not the case though, as we tried to make the page as honest and factual as possible and would like to update the page with information as the band continues to grow and prosper. Thank you for your time, and please let me know if there's any way we can get this bands name back on Wikipedia.

Will you be responding to the email address associated with this username? Or will an answer appear here? Thanks

Speedy Deletion of Aikido Renshinkai[edit]

Hi Lectonar, you speedily deleted one of my pages, which I think was not warranted. I had created it in good faith initially.

The page is closely related to existing pages in Wikipedia ... namely Yoshinkan Aikido and Gozo Shioda. The living person involved Tsutomu Chida and his organisation Aikido Renshinkai is of historical significance due to his 33 year long relationship to Gozo Shioda. I actually believe this was evident from the content & links to the aforementioned articles.

Can you tell me what it was about the linked information that struck you as not sufficiently significant? Looking forward to your speedy response. Thank you.

inre Rachel Marcus[edit]

On February 16, 2009, you deleted per A7 an article about Rachel Marcus.[3] In expanding a three-sentence stub for a film titled Booky's Crush, I discovered that while the deleted article might have met A7, the subject has been twice nominated for Gemini Awards,[4], her career meets WP:ENT by her starring in two multi-award-nominated films as well as a notable tv series,[5] and she has been covered in multiple reliable sources.[6] My request is that you userfy the deletd article to me at User:MichaelQSchmidt/Rachel Marcus so I might properly expand and source it and with your blessings re-introduce it to mainspace, so as to eliminate the unfortunate redlinks in Booky's Crush and Booky and the Secret Santa. Hair Transplant Network[edit]

Recently the article entitled “Hair Transplant Network” was deleted from Wikipedia. I believe this deletion is in error and that the Hair Transplant Network merits its own Wiki in much the same way that Facebook or MySpace merit theirs.

The Hair Transplant Network is an online consumer advocacy community, forum and social network whose mission is to provide valuable information and support to men and women suffering from hair loss worldwide. The Hair Transplant Network accomplishes this mission by maintaining a database of prescreened, experienced and skilled hair restoration physicians and providing a forum and social community for members to interact, support, and encourage one another. These prescreened physicians must pass rigorous evaluation criteria in order to achieve recommended status. Furthermore, many of our affiliated physicians are considered “rock stars” in their field holding associated patents and authoring definitive texts on the subject of hair transplantation. That alone should meet your criteria for “notability.”

The article in question was deleted on the grounds that it contained “Unambiguous advertising or promotion.” I fail to see how an article on the history and creation of a patient-driven, social network with no commercial banners or associated fees can be called advertising. In contrast, a visit to MySpace or Facebook yields a torrent of advertising banners. Are the Wikipedia pages that direct readers to these sites considered blatant advertising?”

With over ten thousand members and a million hits monthly, the Hair Transplant Network has been able to help hair loss sufferers around the globe and has become synonymous with hair restoration research. I urge you to reconsider the deletion of this page so that even more hair loss sufferers may find their way to this valuable resource, interact with one another on a true social network dedicated to hair restoration and benefit from the wealth of information provided by other members.

Gartner, which is a top Industry Analyst mentions Clarity each year in their various reports and publications on the topic of business performance management, Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance. also all out competitors such as Cognos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognos), Longview Solutions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longview_Solutions), Outlooksoft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OutlookSoft) are active on Wikipedia and we have tried to publish the information without any advertising intent. can you please suggest how do we stop the channel from deleting information on Clarity?

Also recently we conducted a research and found out that 38% of the audience (from a pool of 300+ names) suggested that they searched for Clarity Systems on Wikipedia. we are willing to site any references to augment the credibility of the company.

Thanks, Clifford Lobo —Preceding unsigned comment added by Clifford lobo (talkcontribs) 14:04, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of Quadriga Games[edit]

Hi, with all due respect, why did you remove the 'Quadriga Games' article? This is the reason you gave the article deletion: "No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content". I gave it a clear and satisfactory explanation of what it is. Plus, I'm guessing you didn't see the official company's web link at the bottom of the article, why didn't you visit it before telling me the company's not real? I was hoping if you could revert the deletion process and restore the article back to what it was so I can continue it. Could you please respond to this?

Deletion of Dacey Balle[edit]

Hi Lectonar, hope this note finds you well. Can you please kindly undelete the article Dacey Balle? This is a write up of a person's achievements and bio only and has no company related matters in it. I will also put in a profile photo of Dacey Balle in the article.

Deletion of Binary Logic SA[edit]

Hello Lectonar. We created an entry for Binary Logic, a quite "old" software company with international presence but it was deleted immediately without any notice. A7 is very generic and "no importance" for a company that exists for almost 30 years in the education industry is quite hard. We tried to create an objective entry not like the ones that other international companies in the same field or companies from Greece are using (auralog, iqsoft, intracom etc.) with no references in relevant sources or actual work in the education field. Do you suggest any changes in order to resubmit it?

Thanks, Andreas --Atsouch (talk) 10:01, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of article on 24translate[edit]

Hello Lectonar,

that was quick... you deleted my article on the grounds of it being advertising. This was not intended and I'm not affiliated with the company, but obviously I wasn't neutral enough. I suspect you deleted the article mainly because of the last section with the references to what great companies are clients of 24translate. Is that so? I'd be happy for some pointers on how to modify my article for reposting. Thank you.

HTK_Limited deletion[edit]

Please don't delete articles without giving notice or inviting a discussion; your opinion is not necessarily any more valid than the author's! Can you please put this article back up - thanks. I emailed you privately in good faith about the reasons why I felt your original deletion were unwarranted and premature, and I at least expect the courtesy of a sensible debate. Is that too much to ask? Looks like I'm not the first person to have a similar view on this topic, going by the other comments below.95.131.110.119 (talk) 19:28, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Deletion of Reggae Fest article[edit]

My article describing the Paraguayan Reggae Fest (very briefly, but with the idea of further expand in the future) was deleted for the A7 criteria.

This Festival, however, is significant in South America and in particular within the Republic of Paraguay, where is the most important Reggae Festival, congregating a good number of attendees for the country's standars.

It was created to be included in the List of Reggae Festivals page. Other similar pages are:

Maybe you could indicate me what else is missing to the article in order to be recreated. Although Paraguay might not be an important from other country's perspective, it is very important for its almost 7 million of inhabitants. Although is recent, the festival has a good reputation in the south american region as to be worthy of a wikipedia entry describing it with the possibility of future expansion. Request for help in restoring deleted pages[edit]

Although I have been signed up for years I am a new user because I have not added much until last week. We were working on the Gordon Shepherd wiki entry and someone changed the entry Gordon Shepherd (neuroscientist) back to what it was so I am requesting that our work is restored.

Some of the complexity of the Gordon Shepherd pages

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Shepherd

is that Gordon M Shepherd here at Yale has a son, Gordon MG Shepherd at Northwestern so we carefully arranged a hierarchy of disambiguation where the Gordon Shepherd page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Shepherd_(neuroscientist) lists the two Gordon Shepherd's (see the Tom Morse October 1st version on the history on that [[page: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gordon_Shepherd_(neuroscientist)&diff=388155282&oldid=388154005]] ) and we created new pages Gordon M Shepherd and Gordon MG Shepherd which have been deleted.

Please help! Thanks for your time and efforts, Tom Morse —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tom morse (talkcontribs) 15:17, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

PREMAnet page deletion[edit]

I understand that one should not use copyrighted material and obviously the PREMAnet web page content that I copied has a copyright indication on the bottom of the page. I was just talking to Joyce Miller ([email protected]), who is currently in Hanoi running PREMAnet's General Assembly and she suggested that it might help, if she gave her permission for the content to be included on Wikipedia. I have sent her by email the text I included on the the page. How should she send you her approval for the text to published? We discussed the notion of "Donating" the content to Wikipedia, but she feels that actual content on the web site itself is still not sufficiently mature and would prefer incremental improvement of the Wiki page as and when the web site content is updated. Please feel free to contact her yourself for verification.

Kirchner bio[edit]

Hi, I have seen that the article regarding this Nestor Kirchner is semi-protected therefore I wanted to sugest an edit to it. There is a paragraph that states:

Kirchner participated early on in the Justicialist movement (followers of the populist former President, Juan Perón) as a member of the Young Peronists, whose left-wing radicalism was strongly opposed to the Argentine Anticommunist Alliance and other rightist influences then dominating President Isabel Perón's domestic policy.

I think that the word radicalism in the Argentine political background is not the suitable one, since Radicalismo (Spanish for radicalism) in Argentine politics means the ideological dogma of the Unión Cívica Radical, which in fact is the historical opposition to Peronism.

Although the redirection clearly derives towards radicalization, within an Argentine context it is completely off-subject. I suggest to employ the word militancy, which in fact is used in the Argentine Spanish political vocabulary (militancia).Periptero (talk) 00:00, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

European Seal of e-Excellence[edit]

Hello! I would be grateful for a more SPECIFIC explanation as to WHY this article was deleted. I may understand why the so-called "mother article" e-Excellence was deleted, but I see no valid reason for deleting European Seal of e-Excellence. It DID NOT INFRINGE any copyright, it was clearly classified as an AWARD. The explanations given were complete and it was NOT SELF-PROMOTIONAL as the Award benefits a very large community of winners since 2003 and is supported by two dozen reputable IT organisations worldwide. In which way was this article less acceptable than e.g. the article on the World Summit Award???? Please note that I will re-initiate this article and that I will do so as long as it takes to make you understand that, unless you are providing VALID explanations for deletion, there is no reason why I should accept your Diktat! Hello, it looks like this page was created a couple times as a promotion for the fraternity he founded and you deleted it once, about two years ago. I came across him doing research on a series on the McCormick family which was very influential in the business history of 19th century Chicago and new York. I will try creating an article focusing on the business history, and should mention the frat in passing since that is well documented. He is not as well known as other members of the family, but there are historical sources (though I wish I had Chicago tribune records from that era). Just a "heads up" in case it gets put on the AfD again. Thanks. W Nowicki (talk) 23:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

about the Grameen Foundation Australia[edit]

Hi, I didn't understood why this page has been deleted ... I work in this Foundation and I would like to recreate it again. Can I? (ps: The Grameen is world famous, ans has been several times rewarded) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maiiina (talkcontribs) 07:50, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Deletion of Moonlee Records[edit]

Dear Lectonar,

I'm new here so can you please explain why did you delete the article about Moonlee Records, and how can I fix this?

Thank You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doomood (talkcontribs) 00:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

You deleted information about MAST conferences & exhibitions too, despite them being a predominant information source for maritime security and defence leaders collaborating worldwide for global security - are you an extremist or something?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.173.12.188 (talk) 12:43, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
