Blue Water Highway[edit]

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia

Blue Water Highway is an Alternative/Indie/Country band from Lake Jackson, Texas founded in 2013. They have since released 4 albums, including Heartbreak City, which came out of Thirty Tigers."Blue Water Highway comes from the working class, coastal town background that has informed the work of so many of rock’s greatest writers and artists. They take their name from the roadway that links their hometown of Lake Jackson, Texas to Galveston, where the cops, the teachers, the baristas and the chemical plant workers travel to work hard and to play hard, blowing off steam, dancing to their favorite bands."[1]

Career[edit]

Zach Kibodeaux (lead vocals/guitar) and Greg Essington (vocals/guitar), two best friends from high school, started the band in 2013. Kibodeaux then turned to Catherine Clarke (vocals/keyboard) to complete the three-part harmony they would soon be known for. They were also joined by Kyle Smith (bass), and Jared Wilson (drums). Blue Water Highway toured with Bob Seger, Big Head Todd and The Monsters, and The Turnpike Troubadours. "They have played across South Texas, Oklahoma, New York, France, London & more!  They released their Album Heartbreak City in June 2018 after releasing their highly acclaimed Medicine Man from the 2015 Album Things We Carry."[2]
