Christophe Vorlet (born 1957) is a Swiss-American illustrator and artist. He is known for his editorial illustrations with complex topics and strong conceptual ideas. His paintings in oil, mixed idea or ink on paper, often involve people and human creations using symbols, realistic and abstract, and sometimes pure decorative forms and shapes.

EDUCATION

After finishing his apprenticeship as Graphic Designer and graduating from the Zurich University of the Arts in 1978, he studied for a year at The School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Upon his return to Zürich in 1979 he quickly made a name for himself illustrating for newspapers and magazines, designing record covers, painting murals and showing his art in galleries in Zurich. By 1989 he moved back to New York City and in 1991 to a farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia from where he continues to illustrate and paint.
