User:Jujutacular/closeFPC

The closeFPC script automates the majority of the tasks done during the closure of a featured picture candidate. It is based heavily on Mr.Z-man's "closeAFD" script, and uses much of the original code.

Usage

The script adds a "Close FPC" tab when viewing nominations. Clicking the tab will bring up a menu of information to enter, along with two buttons: 'promote' or 'no promote'.

Some tasks are currently not supported by the script:

• Delist nominations are not supported
• The script does not add the image to a sub-page of Wikipedia:Featured pictures during promotion. This task must be done manually, but will hopefully be included in the future.
• The script does not replace alternate versions in articles, and does not edit Template:FPCurgents.
• Multiple image promotions in a single nomination are not supported.

Installation

To install the script, add:

importScript('User:Jujutacular/closeFPC.js'); // [[User:Jujutacular/closeFPC]]

to your your monobook.js / vector.js page, and bypass your cache.

• You are responsible for your edits. Please make sure the script has behaved correctly after closure.
• The script has currently only been tested in Firefox and Chrome.
