Diffeo is an online, subscription-based AI-powered research assistant that analyzes the article you are editing and recommends content to help fill in gaps. Diffeo digs through news sites, academic journals, and social media to find information that is both on-topic and uncovers connections. Diffeo grew out of research hosted at NIST's Text REtrieval Conference (TREC), which the founders of Diffeo organized. The TREC Knowledge Base Acceleration (KBA) track ran from 2012-2014 and explored algorithms for helping human editors expand a large knowledge base, such as Wikipedia.
