Early history[edit]

Williams was born in Maidenhead in 1977. He went to Desborough School in Maidenhead, after which he went on to Durham University, where he read molecular biology. During his time there he met drum and bass artists Nu:Tone and Ed Rush and collaborated with them on the University's drum and bass nights known as Substance Sessions. On one of the Substance Sessions he caught the attention of Grooverider and Fabio, and subsequently was played on their Kiss FM radio show [5] where he began to gain some of his early noteriety.
