Request details[edit]

Where is the dispute?[edit]

Beginning with this edit and onwards on the article. Dispute continued on User talk:Biblbroks and User talk:Jeff G..

Who is involved?[edit]

What is the dispute?[edit]

The main issue is whether this edit is spam linking from the perspective of user which doesn't know previous history of the articles Serboi, Theories on the origin of Serbs and History of the Serbs. I assume some prejudice existed on user's Jeff G. behalf towards me because of previous blocks I have. He mentioned some of my conflict of interest and general incivility. Harsh words with harsh tone, and vice versa, were exchanged, presumably by me more than by user Jeff G. But lecturing about what is spam and "threatening" with terser anti-vandal block-warnings kicked me to the roof.

What would you like to change about this?[edit]

I would like Jeff G. to delete his warning templates from my talk page.

How do you think we can help?[edit]

Make him talk to me.

Discussion[edit]

http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Theories-on-the-origin-of-the-Serbs#Earliest_historical_records_of_names_similar_to_.22Serb.22 is a section of a mirror of English Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_the_Serbs&oldid=247701860 as it existed for four minutes from 03:10 to 03:14 (UTC) on 26 October 2008. That particular 'Earliest historical records of names similar to "Serb"' section was unsourced and was deleted about six and a half hours later at 09:39 that day in this edit, presumably because it was unsourced. Externally linking to that section is inappropriate, because that section is still unsourced and because the encyclopedia at NationMaster.com, a mirror of English Wikipedia, is not a reliable source because English Wikipedia is not a reliable source. I object to the requesting party's failure to notify me of the existence of this case, and I have not been engaging that editor recently because I did not wish to dignify that editor's insults with responses. Details of that editor's insults can be found in the discussion on my user talk page at User talk:Jeff G.#April_2010. I still feel that the warnings I gave that editor were justified, and I await an apology from that editor.   — Jeff G. ツ 03:58, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Sincere apologies for not informing you. Please do accept them. I regarded this as an informal place for a user to give a request for mediation, and not some kind of a formal committee to which I send some applications of complaint and then inform user that I complain about him. But I see my mistake now. Sorry again. As it is seen in my post previously here I thought the user is not talking to me anymore. And the reason why I acted so harshly is because of his giving me explanations of what is spam and telling me that he was gentle in not giving more terse block-warnings. All the best, --Biblbroks's talk 08:19, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
I accept your apology, forgive your harsh actions, and apologize for escalating. At the request of KillerChihuahua (talk · contribs) at User talk:Biblbroks#April_2010, I am trying to disengage. I am not sure how disengagement is supposed to work on MedCab case pages, but I would not object if you (as the creator of this page) requested speedy deletion of it using {{db-g7}} at the top.   — Jeff G. ツ 05:05, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
I accept your apology for escalating. Will request speedy deletion if nobody gives any additional input during this day. --Biblbroks's talk 07:36, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 20:27, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
