Georges Domercq is born in Bellocq (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France) on April, 19th, 1931.
He is a former French International Rugby referee, as well as a politician.

1- Refereeing career[edit]
Georges Domercq is one of the most famous referees in the world, having officiated in more than 30 international matches over his career, including 4 matches of the then 5 Nations Championship (now 6 Nations Championship).
He started his refereeing career after playing for several years in a small club of the French Basque Country, UARP (Union Athlétique du Rugby de Puyoô).
He refereed the French Championship Final in 1972, Béziers-Brive, in Lyon Gerland stadium.
His international career begins in 1967 in Ireland, invited by the Wolfhounds.
He was the first Frenchman to be invited to referee test matches.
