My name is George Schiro.
I am a long-standing resident of Harmony, FL, USA. I am one of several (yet relatively few) long-standing residents still living in Harmony. My family moved to Harmony in 2004, about a year after the very first residents bought their homes here.
I have been a vocal critic of Harmony Development Company for years. In my humble opinion, the developer has failed to deliver on the original promises that drew many families to Harmony and what they have delivered so far is not on par with the amount of taxes paid annually by residents.
It has been falsely rumored that I am upset with my declining property values and this is what motivates me. Yet I published my first critiques of the developer long before the real-estate markets peaked in 2007. This fact is further supported by a declaration of principles published in 2006:
I have no competing real-estate interests nor any financial relationship with any business or entity that competes with the developer of Harmony. My agenda is simply to bring the issues to light so that newcomers can ask the right questions of the developer and thereby help to expedite positive change.
The more that people know, the more quickly things will improve in Harmony.
