Hair[edit]

A 2018 study concluded that Omega-3 rich fish oil stimulated hair growth in rodents.[1] A 2015 study divided 120 women into two equal groups. It was found that the group which was given supplement of Omega-3 and Omega-6 had more hair in active growth than the other. Also, the supplement group reported to have thicker hair and lesser hair loss.[1]

Sexual health[edit]

A 2017 animal study examined the effects of Omega-3 supplement on erectile dysfunction due to atherosclerosis. Rats in the treatment group were found to have significantly improved erection quality.[2] In a 2020 study involving 1694 men, those who were using Omega-3 supplements were found to have larger testes with higher semen volume and quality.[2]

Skin[edit]

A 2021 review concluded that some research suggests that Omega-3 can improve skin health, as well as particular skin conditions like eczema and acne; however, it is unclear if taking supplement will benefit everyone as some studies had mixed results.[3]
