Moved into Cold War era hardened aircraft shelters at Newquay Airfport (former RAF St Mawgan) in 2015. Founded by a group of local aviation enthusiasts to rescue th ecollection of the Classic Air Force Newquay project. Privatey funded and supported by 60 volunteers, may of them RAF veterans. Won £40,000 grant from the Culture Recover yFund in 2021 and also won a TripAdvisor excellence award. Cornwall Council has taken over Newquay Airport and evicted the centre with a deadline of March 2023. Teh council aims to increase the economic benefit form the airport. The centre was paying a commercial rent. It closed at the end of OCtober. Has 20 aircraft and thousands of other artefacts , but few optiosn to rehouse them and funds to pay for transportation.
