This page was originally cascade-protected and contained a collection of full-protected templates that were never supposed to be unprotected due to being widely used, to help protect against damage in the event of accidental unprotection or transclusion of an unprotected template into them; it was later combined with several similar pages maintained by other users into Wikipedia:Cascade-protected items to provide a central location for managing general template and file cascade protection (certain other pages are also cascade-protected because of their importance, such as the Main Page).
