From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The first source I will be using is Virgil Winkler's bibliography released by his family on 08/08/2007. It does not seem to have a publication as it is not a professional paper but it was retrieved from the University Of Illinois archive at the link below. This source will help for nearly the entirety of what I will basically be creating a bibliography for him on Wikipedia and this will be a great source of data. I think I will have to look for more information on the exact authors and original publication to better source this document. https://archon.library.illinois.edu/archives/index.php?p=collections/controlcard&id=5708&q=Virgil+Winkler

Unfortunately, I do not currently have access to the other documents at the moment as they are in physical form within the University Library. I will be contacting the library for digital copies or I will be visiting the locations where the information is stored to look further into the documents. They all appear to be publications by Virgil Winkler and I believe these documents will help me to gather more information on any important discoveries he has made or what sorts of information he discussed while part of the university.

The other documents include:

This is the same time when the company would combine with another to become the Creole Petroleum Corporation leading to Virgil transferring to the capital city of the Republic and becoming Director of the company's single centralized laboratory until 1955. However, he would continue to work from 1977-87 at Lagoven S.A. as a Geological and geophysical Advisor for the Geology Department.

During his time in Venezuela Virgil would also start a family. He would marry for a second time in 1943 to Ana Segunda (Lila) Balza.
