Ching-Yao Calvin Lin (林·敬堯·凱爾文)

Ching-Yao is a proud Taiwanese.

He was born on 21 June 1987 at the Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei City,  Republic of China. (also known as Taiwan)


He attended Yi-Shian Elementary School and Taipei Wego Junior High School both in Taipei.

He started his foreign education in Victoria, British Columbia,  Canada at St. Michaels University School at the age of 13 (grade 8).


His family moved to Canada when he was 14. He attended citizenship ceremoney at the age of 18 and became a proud Canadian.


He now studies MSc in Composite Materials at Imperial College London in London, England,  UK since October 2009.

The focus of his postgraduate study is composite materials in the aeronautics field.

He graduated from The University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, USA in December 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.


He currently resides in London, England and visit his hometown Taipei, Taiwan during school breaks.

Ching-Yao is a singer and wish to become a professional singer or a commercial airline pilot.


Ching-Yao is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

He is currently learning French in an evening class, and wishes to learn Japanese and Cantonese in the near future.


Ching-Yao is fasinated by the variety of information and availability in different languages that Wikipedia provide.

He also felt that Wikipedia also contains opinions from different people, culture, and prespective.
