Interests include politics, current affairs and historic biographies. Mainly US and UK, though others may be within my field of interest. I read a lot and like to dig below the surface to check and challenge conventional wisdom.

British politics

I am a keen reader of British politics. I've read most contemporary and historic British political biographies at some point over the past 30 to 50 years. My interest stretches from current day to the approximate birth of democratic British politics. However, most of my time is spent on 20th and 21st Century figures.

For the most part I focus on contemporary figures, either expanding scant political biography articles which are lacking detail or editing down overly long biographies which are sometimes subject to controversy or politically motivated comment.

My Wikipedia updates are always carefully sourced and I strive for both accuracy and balance leading to one leading wiki editor to comment "...your attention to detail and referencing are to be commended." Edwardx

US politics

I can only properly describe my US political interest as more that of enthusiast status. I enjoy reading and following US politics, but more for the purposes of comparison. Again, I've read extensively on the subject.

My own politics. I'm a floater. Have voted for all three main parties at different times in my life. Not being flaky, but just prefer to think issues through and find the manifesto that best represents my views at any one time.
