My name is Jean Smith. I live in Vancouver Canada. Since 1985, I have been the singer in Mecca Normal, the guitar and voice duo with twelve albums (Smarten UP! Records, K Records, Matador and Kill Rock Stars).

I am the author of two published novels and a two-time Canada Council for the Arts award recipient as a professional author of creative writing.
