Christopher Brodersen is a 65-year-old musician, music journalist and builder of historical keyboard instruments who lives in Northville, Michigan, U.S.A.

From 1995 to 1999, he was the Review Editor of Continuo, a bi-monthly music journal devoted to early music, with a particular emphasis on early keyboard.

He was also a contributor (7 articles) to Third Ear: The Essential Listening Companion, Alexander Morin, editor, published by Backbeat Books in 2002: [[1]]

He has been a regular reviewer and contributor to Fanfare, The Magazine for Serious Record Collectors [[2]] since the autumn of 2009.

He has contributed 13 articles to the Second Edition of the Groves Dictionary of Musical Instruments, due to be published in 2014.

He has been a tenor soloist and instrumentalist in the Detroit area for the past 30+ years, having appeared with the Detroit Symphony and other local orchestras on several occasions.

As an instrumentalist, he has been performing on the modern and baroque oboe (and their variants) since the mid '70s. In 2005 he took up the bassoon again, after a hiatus of 35 years.
