Cassie J. Sneider (born December 13, 1982) is an American author, cartoonist, musician, and blogger. According to Blag Dahlia, vocalist for The Dwarves, her writing "combines the poise of a one-legged ballerina with the sophistication of a deceased Princess Grace."[1]

Biography[edit]

Cassie J. Sneider grew up in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, a town in Long Island. She got her start photocopying comics at office jobs. Fine Fine Music is her first book, which came out in June 2011. She sings in a band called Electric Bubblebath, which started out as a joke but has played with such notables as The Dwarves and Reagan Youth. Cassie toured in 2012 with Sister Spit, a queer/feminist literary tour which featured Michelle Tea, Dorothy Allison, and Justin Vivian Bond. She has also toured separately with Bucky Sinister, Al Burian, and Nicole J. Georges. Cassie is the host of live band karaoke at Arlene's Grocery in New York City.

Trivia[edit]

Cassie and other members of Electric Bubblebath are featured in a seven minute skit in the main features of The Dwarves DVD FEFU. She is also prominently featured in the DVD F*ck You Up & Get Live which was filmed at The Continental NYC.

Cassie has appeared on several episodes of The Bill Cunningham Show.

Cassie's illustrations are featured in the 2012 book Sister Spit: Writing, Rants and Reminiscence from the Road on City Lights Books.
