River terrapins of different age cohorts: (from top to bottom) hatchling of about a week old, one year old and two years old.

Welcome to my user page. Batagur baska is the Northern river terrapin, a beautiful creature Critically Endangered by humans.

I am from Durgapur in West Bengal but my profession takes me far afield and presently I am living in Britain, probably till 2025 when my contract expires. I am interested in world history, natural world, and cricket. I will probably write most about cricket here.
