Early life and education[edit]

Szlanka was born on October 8, 1969, in Hungary. He pursued his education at Szent István University, earning a degree in Human Resources Management from the Level 3 Faculty of Economics and Social Studies between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, he completed a Master's program in Human Resources Management in Business at a university in Hungary during the same period. He speaks Hungarian, English and German.[citation required]

Career[edit]

Szlanka's professional journey took diverse paths before he found his niche as a driving instructor and entrepreneur. After relocating to England in 2006 to enhance his English language skills, he initially worked as a bartender at Birmingham Airport's Frankie & Benny’s restaurant. The improvement in his language proficiency allowed him to transition into the hotel industry, eventually attaining the role of duty manager. [citation required]

In 2009, Szlanka decided to start a new career trajectory and founded his own business as a DVSA-approved driving instructor. His passion for improving safety standards in the driving school industry and the quality of driving lessons led him to establish Prime Learner in 2009. Before establishing Prime Learner, Szlanka held various managerial positions, including crisis management roles in DIY store chains in different European countries. [citation required]

Szlanka has gained substantial demand for his services, consistently maintaining a waiting list of over 30 new learner drivers. Expressing reservations about the efficacy of the current driving school operational model, Zsolt's primary focus lies in enhancing safety standards and the overall quality of the driving industry. In response to this commitment, he founded Prime Learner, an online platform designed to deliver video driving lessons. As the Managing Director and Founder of Prime Learner Ltd, Szlanka has a vision of disrupting the traditional structure of driving schools. Dissatisfied with the limited influence of regulatory bodies over driving schools and private instructors, His online platform aims to provide a more effective and personalized approach to driver education. In 2014, Szlanka authored a book titled "Would You Leave? (Hungary to the UK)" intended for Hungarians planning to relocate to the United Kingdom. In 2020, they were featured in the Hungarian magazine, Meglepetes, due to their book and efforts to assist Hungarians in the UK. Additionally, Szlanka was interviewed by major Hungarian news outlets about the situation of immigrants in the UK post-BREXIT. They were also approached by the Birmingham City Council for an interview regarding the implementation of the New Clean Air Zone in the city center, with the interview being published on the council's website and potentially shared in other major cities across the UK.
