The third season of the American animated television series Star Trek: Prodigy follows a group of young aliens as they learn more about Starfleet. The season is produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in association with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment, and Brothers Hageman Productions. Kevin and Dan Hageman serve as showrunners.
Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Jason Mantzoukas, Angus Imrie, Rylee Alazraqui, and Dee Bradley Baker voice the young aliens and Kate Mulgrew reprises her role as Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager.
The season is set to premiere on the streaming service Netflix.

Development[edit]
Star Trek: Prodigy co-head writer and co-executive producer Aaron Waltke said in November 2022 that he had discussed continuing the series beyond the first two seasons with showrunners Kevin and Dan Hageman.[1] In June 2023, Paramount+ canceled the series and the producers began looking for a new streaming service or network to release it on.[2] That August, the Hagemans said they still hoped the series could continue beyond the second season once it found a new home, and they said the second season ended with set-up for a third season in the same way that the end of the first season set-up the second.[3] In October, the series was officially picked up by Netflix.[4]

Kate Mulgrew reprises her role of Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager. The voice cast for the series' young protagonists includes Brett Gray as Dal R'El, Ella Purnell as Gwyn, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, Angus Imrie as Zero, Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk, and Dee Bradley Baker as Murf.
