This page is nothing more than an unassuming shrine to the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, who passed away on September 4, 2006. The purpose of this page is primarily to be a cathartic memorialization of the man, and secondly as a place simply to read and reflect upon him through the years. I encourage you to add any comments or images you may have.

- I can't say that I was an avid watcher of The Croc Hunter, being that his ubiquitousness on the television prompted me to take him for granted, but throughout my childhood I did enjoy the show immensely, partly due to the inventive way in which he portrayed wildlife, but also because of his wonderful personality. Steve's death stunned me, and my realization of it grows more painful with each passing minute. I hate to be uber sentimental, but the pain emanating from his death is real, and it would be insincere of me to ignore it. After his death, I watched a replay of an interview with him on TV, and to see his wonderful personality again, knowing that I would never see it again almost brought me to tears, and I struggled to find my breath. May Steve rest in peace, and may his wife Terri and two children live happily with fond memories of the the Croc Hunter. AdamBiswanger1 21:41, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

- I was surprised at how shocked I was when I learned that he died, since I was never a fan or follower of his work. Of course I knew who he was, and I'd seen his show once or twice when I was younger, as well as an episode again this past summer with my friend. We thought he was such a dumbass doing what he did, but he always seemed like the kind of guy who would never die. There was always that lingering feeling that he was going to bite it (no pun intended) doing something dangerous with a snake or croc, but that feeling was usually overpowered by the thought that he was invincible. I feel bad for his wife and kids, but even though they've lost a husband/father, they are left with a legacy of someone who was beloved all over the world. Another person who died too young. - When my friend told me Steve had passed away, I had to find proof on the internet. Find I did, and at that moment I felt I had lost a member of my family. Steve was one of the worlds most important conservationists, and certainly the TV's most vibrant personality, but now he can rest with other Australians like Big Kev. Steve, if you're out there, thanks for helping us Aussies onto the rworld entertainment scene. He just doesn't seem like the guy you can imagine on the death bed, he always seems invincible.
