Asfandyar Abid Naveed
- (PPF/IFEX) - Journalist Asfandyar Abid Naveed, 35, a reporter for the daily "Akhbar-i-Khyber", was killed and eight other journalists were injured when two blasts ripped through the military cantonment's Khyber Supermarket, in a commercial and residential area of Peshawar, the capital city of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, late in the night on 11 June 2011.
- * Asfandyar Abid Naveed, a journalist with Akhbar-e-Khyber, was killed in the blasts, which occurred on Saturday at a market in the capital of the Khyber Pankhtunkhwa region of Pakistan.
Two smaller blasts, one at a restaurant near the market and the other in a building adjacent to it, drew people to the site, including journalists who were there to cover the event. A second, more powerful blast then rocked the market, killing at least 34 people, and wounding over 100.

Shafiullah Khan
- (PPF/IFEX) - On 17 June 2011, Shafiullah Khan, 28, a trainee reporter at the daily "The News", Peshawar, succumbed to critical wounds he received during two deadly blasts that ripped through the military cantonment's Khyber Supermarket in a commercial and residential area of Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in Pakistan on 11 June.
- Khan had recently completed an MA in Journalism from Gomal University in Dera Ismail Khan and had joined the paper a week before the deadly attack.
- He had received third degree burns and was transferred to the Khyber Teaching Hospital's (KTH) burn unit.

June 17, 2011, in Wah Cantonment, Pakistan Khan, 28, a trainee reporter at the daily The News, died six days after suffering extensive burns in a June 11 double bombing in Peshawar that took the lives of more than three dozen people. The first, small blast went off at a market, drawing a large crowd, including journalists such as Khan who were covering the story. A second, larger explosion, apparently a suicide bomb, went off after a crowd had grown.
Khan, who also suffered shrapnel wounds to his right shoulder, died in a burn treatment center in Wah Cantonment, a military center near Rawalpindi, according to the Pakistan Press Foundation, a media support group.
- Pakistan media reports and the Khyber Union of Journalists said that Khan, 28, died on Friday morning in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
Khan had recently completed his master's degree in journalism from Gomal University, in the town of Der Ismail Khan in FATA, according to Yousaf Ali, general secretary of the Khyber Union of Journalists. He had been working as a trainee for one week in The News International's Peshawar bureau when he was wounded, the paper reported.
