'''Giti Souri''', (Persian: گیتی سوری; born July 15 1962 - May 16, 2011) was an Iranian-Swedish teacher and Special education counselor; (also known as special-needs education, aided education, exceptional education, special ed. or SPED). (Swedish: Specialpedagogik).

Early life and background Giti was born I Mashhad-Iran. Later was raised in Kermanshah and finely in Tehran. Her mother was house wife and her father was in a military, which made that they moved many places and cities in Iran. Giti has a younger brother and sister.

Educations She was educated as teacher in Tehran, and worked on children with different specialty from early ages until high school. During 90s, and after 15 years teaching in different schools in Tehran, she moved and enjoyed her brother in Östersund in Jämtland County-Sweden. There she completed her training education at Umeå University, and become an Special education counselor.

Work Her unique methods was to teach Swedish and also Immigrants teenage, youths and also uneducated immigrant adults, who were in need with special requirement to achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency to easily access learning the language and their education needs in society. She was working fully in three different high schools in Jämtland County.

Death The last two years of her life, she weirdly become ill, without knowing the reason. She was working with no stop, until April 2011, which she became seriously sick and just during six weeks became hospitalized and died because of Lung Cancer at hospital. Her method was famous at the county as she lived.
