The Corrs

Free use images should always be used instead of images with some sort of copyright in the infobox. So either the free use images goes back into the infobox or the images currently there will have to be removed, even though it shows the whole group. -- Underneath-it-All 16:05, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Diane Farr

Please do not remove the {{persondata}} template from articles, as you did with Diane Farr. The metadata in the template will help to facilitate advanced search capabilities, statistical analysis, and automated categorization of our biographies. The template is not visible to most users and does not affect the appearance of the article. For more information on persondata, see Wikipedia:Persondata.--WillMak050389 15:38, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I thought it was visible to ALL users. Omghgomg 07:25, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Hypocritical Attack Accusation

Excuse me! Who do you think you are to decide what constitutes an attack on another member? That person CLEARLY attacked me and several other members (and he even said he did) in the face of all logic. It has been repeated over and over again what the Japanese is and as such what I stated was a clear and simple fact! I didn't see you telling any other members off, including the troll, so why did you single out me!? I never called him a name, but simply cited his lack of knowledge of Japanese in a tone a lot less rude than his towards me! Did you even read the discussion that took place there? I have been an established member here for many years, ceaselessly reverting vandalism and improving the Tropical Cyclone class of articles, the best damn set of articles on all of Wikipedia in collaboration with admins. Yet you single out me for your little lecture. And you even have the audacity to put it up on my Talk Page, especially after how that kid acted about the Japanese which he seemingly knows next to nothing about. I am studying Japanese extensively and am taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and I know what the hell I am talking about when it comes to Japanese to English translations, I am not simply making up things! Also, if these many, many issues with the Naruto pages and the Akatsuki pages especially don't get resolved quickly and resort to a flame war, then I will have to resort to contacting an admin or in the worst case scenario the Arbitration Committee as arbiters! The great kawa 06:10, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I accept your apology, but in the future please do not jump to conclusions, especially ones like that. I work solely for the benefit of Wikipedia and constantly defend it. I just want the facts to be heard and for Wikipedia to be both informative and collaborative. And as per Wikipedia:No personal attacks Accusing someone without justification of making personal attacks is also considered a form of personal attack, so please, please read the complete discussions before resorting to such actions. But all is forgiven and if you ever have a bid for adminship, I will whole-heartedly support you, especially considering it takes a very responsible individual to actually admit they made a fault. The great kawa 06:26, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm on your side but...

Be very careful. I don't think "Ignore All Rules" is a policy that works with them. Call it ignoring them, call it going around them, the point is they have the upperhand in this. God luck.--TheUltimate3 15:50, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, I was always bold. Omghgomg 06:54, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

So Small

Hi Omghgomg! I'm really sorry, I know some people find the small tagging very unecessary and annoying. There's an extra spacing when using normal tags, which is natural, but I really find it annoying when trying to read an article. Small tagging references, on the other hand, makes the article look more organized and easier to read without breaking Wikipedia rules. I hope you can understand that, like Acalamari did. Thank you. Bull Borgnine 23:43, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

AfD templates

I noticed a question you asked in this edit here. To answer is, the tag on the page is removed when the AfD has completed (normally after five days, unless multiple users unanimously say to delete/keep the article, in which the AfD is closed early in accordance with WP:SNOW). The template on the article should not be removed until the AfD is over. I hope that answers your question. :) Acalamari 19:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Re:Itachi

No, since it is still a primary source and part of the source material. A third party is completely unrelated to the source material (say a website, magazine, or other source that reviews anime or manga). And not just a passing reminder mind you, a significant discussion of Itachi. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:15, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Bleach Character archiving.

Hey thanks for archiving the Bleach characters talk page, it was really helpful. However, an active discussion is going on at the Too Many Articles! topic, so can you like "unarchive" it or something? I'm still kinda new to Wikipedia so I don't know how to do anything like that. Please notify me at my talk page, thanks!--Hanaichi 09:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

So Small chart position references

I'll compile them tomorrow and have them added to the chart positions which are already in the article. I stopped editing "So Small" a while ago and concentrated in other music articles such as "One Minute", "Don't Stop the Music", "Hate That I Love You", and "Gimme More".
I'm very sorry I wasn't able clean-up the article as I did before. Sincerely, Bull Borgnine 03:28, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Much appreciated. σмgнgσмg 11:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
No problem! Wikipedians are supposed to help each other XD. Still, it's not done yet but I've sourced the most needed facts and chart positions. I'll try to finish it later because I have some homework to do, but you can see the progress, and it's much, much better than before. Bull Borgnine 21:50, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Madara Uchiha2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Madara Uchiha2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:33, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Image:Finalthree2006.jpg

I noticed you nominated an article containing this picture for Good Article status. The image is used under fair use, but lacks a fair use rationale, which can lead to a quick-fail of the GA review. I reccomend you add a detailed rationale/consider whether the picture is really needed. Thanks. J Milburn 19:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

No problem, I don't like the idea of someone waiting weeks and then being quick-failed. Good luck with the nomination. J Milburn 15:51, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Finalthree2006.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Finalthree2006.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:51, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Bleach episodes.

Hey, somebody just added something in the List of Bleach episodes about a new arc called The Forest of Menos. Is that something that sombody just made up, or really true? I can't find any sources linking to that though. --Hanaichi 13:08, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Re:Barnstar

Much appreciated. Many thanks, many thanks. Feel free to comment on any of the three nominations (List of Naruto chapters (Part I), List of Claymore chapters, and List of Claymore episodes), I have on WP:FLC right now. :p Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 05:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

By all means, you do not have to. I was just noting the three articles I currently have at WP:FLC right now. Also recall that commenting can mean that you (by indicating this with bold font) support, oppose, or are neutral (each with a respective reasoning as to why this is your choice). It does not necessarily need to be comments for improvement. Thanks again. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 05:35, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
FYI, I meant comment on the nominations at WP:FLC. For instance, for List of Claymore episodes, comment at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Claymore episodes, not at Talk:List of Claymore episodes. Sorry for the discrepancy. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 05:41, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Jane Zhang

The article Jane Zhang you nominated as a good article has failed , see Talk:Jane Zhang for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. Corrs Images

Hi - you seem to have used incorrect image copyright tags on two images you've uploaded.

File:Corrs.jpg has been tagged with the CC-2.0 license, but is actually taken from Hello Magazine and will be copyrighted by them - [1]

File:Corr-MBE.jpg has been tagged with GNU-FDL license, but is actually taken from the BBC - [2]

Uploading copyrighted images (to which you do not own the copyright) under free licenses is not allowed. This can cause serious problems for the project and the Wikimedia foundation and is against policy.

Please make sure you use the correct license for any images you may upload in the future. Both of these images will be tagged for deletion shortly. Exxolon 21:43, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi - I'm happy to clarify. You seem to have confused "available to the public" with the much narrower definition public domain. For instance an image on the BBC website is freely available to the public to view but the BBC retains the copyright on the image and can pursue legal sanctions against anyone who reproduces the image without their express permission. For more information and guidance please see WP:COPYRIGHT. Exxolon 15:46, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Tagging

If you had read the prod tag you would understand why it was tagged. Your characterization of just because unsourced is no reason to delete is a mischaracterization of the tag "unsourced article about nn compilation album " NN=non-notable. See WP:MUSIC; did this album chart, did it get significant coverage in media - not the source that it exists. And the admonition that album articles that are little more than a track listing out to be merged and/or redirected to the group. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 18:18, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Use of Baidu Baike in Jane Zhang

I noticed your use of Baidu Baike as sourced material in the article. Much like the credibility of using Wikipedia as a citable source (also note how most articles wikilink, but not cite, to other Wikipedia articles), Baidu Baike is much less stable—and much more prone to editing—than a news source. Seeing as Jane Zhang is a contemporary figure, there should be some third-party Internet or print sources to re-support the statements. If you can do that, that would be great. Thanks. Also, I know how to make 30-second samples of songs, so if you know which songs you want, and which 30-second sections you want (e.g. from 2:42 - 3:12 of "Body Language"), then feel free to give me a shout.
