Artemis Accounts
Artemis Accounts is a business accounting software application developed by Aquila Technology, an Irish company which develops accounting and payroll solutions for the SME market. Originally intended for the European market, the software is now used in small and medium size businesses in over 22 countries worldwide.
The software makes use of a "dual-base" currency which allows the accounts to be maintained in two currencies simultaneously, with the ability to view transactions and reports in either currency. It also allows the user interface language to be switched "on the fly" and is the only accounting package that is available in the Irish language.
Artemis Accounts was originally developed for DOS, in 1994. The current version is designed for Windows Vista and Windows 7 and can also be run on Windows XP.
