World Championships in Athletics appearances (overview)

The United States competed at the 2023 World Championships in Athletics in Budapest, Hungary, from 19 to 27 August 2023. The selection meet for these championships was the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Team members were announced on August 7.[1][2]

Notes

[edit]

The United States women's 4x400 metres relay team, who have won seven of the last eight World Championships, were disqualified from Saturday's semi-finals after a botched baton changeover. It's the second time USA team did not advance in final since 2005.[3]
