The Public Security Department of Guangdong Province
The Public Security Department of Guangdong Province (Traditional Chinese:廣東省公安廳) is the functional department responsible for overseeing public safety work throughout the province under the jurisdiction of the People's Government of Guangdong Province.[1] It operates under the dual leadership of the provincial government and the Ministry of Public Security.In each city and county (district), there is a Public Security Bureau (Sub-bureau),[2] and police stations are established in towns, townships, and streets. The Public Security Bureau (Sub-bureau) and police stations respectively receive leadership from the local people's government at the same level and the higher public security authorities.[citation needed] Director of the Department is Liu Guozhou.[3][4]
