Attention editors

Some of the characters in the Faraway Tree books were renamed in modern reprints. In the original series, the children were named Jo, Bessie, Fanny and Dick. Please do not alter the names of these characters. See the "Updates" section of this article for more information.

Editors, usually IPs, continually attempt to "correct" the names of these characters. These are largely good-faith edits, so I want to try deploying an edit notice before resorting to semi-protection. DoctorKubla (talk) 10:00, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
