I have removed the alternative Tongyong Pinyin pronunciations from the template for the following reasons:

Those spellings are not used in Taipei City
The information would be better placed within individual station articles
It makes the template look very untidy and is unnecessary

I know the political controversies which surround Tongyong, but I feel that in this instance there is nothing political to discuss - the reasons above are ample to clean up this template. Taffy U|T|E 06:33, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
