Date[edit]

Am I reading the template code correctly, that it will automatically include the date parameter? Or is it just that it will accept a "|date=" parameter?

This parameter seems to be non-functional. I'd like to see TBD extended with a date-like parameter so that it could behave like {{update after}}. For example:

{{TBD|2014|07|01}}

should behave exactly like

{{TBD}}{{update after|2014|07|01}}

Linking to WikiPolicy from mainspace[edit]

I don't think it is a good practice to link to Wikipedia's policy and disguising it as a link for information relevant to the common reader (most of whom do not care about our policies).
